Yes, sleep has still been pretty elusive for me. Julie's mystery fever on Monday turned out to be Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (We thought we had escaped that one!) Meg came down with her fever on Wednesday night, and Ali and Emma both have fevers as I type. I know, lovely circumstances to start a vacation with, right? Unfortunately, it can't be rescheduled. Fortunately their fevers have only been lasting for a day, and their other symptoms haven't been so bad . . . so we're hopeful . . . and bringing lots of drugs along!

Getting Ready for the Big Event!
We leave tomorrow morning for a weekend in Chicago. This is our weekend to do the big American Girl thing with Ali and Emma, and they are beside themselves with excitement. Today Grandma Patton showed up with a disposable camera for each of them to take along and an American Girl scrapbook kit to do when they get back. They were so tickled . . . they spent all afternoon looking through that stuff. So, way to go Grandma Patton . . . you hit a home run with that one (She also hit a home run in my book when she brought lunch for all of us!! Such a relief in the middle of a crazy day after a sleep deprived night! More on that below!)
