In order to fight off shin splints, I've decided that I need to run on dirt or gravel for now. I've been driving 20 minutes to a local trail. I really like running there, but it's such a pain to have to drive so far. So, I decided that I needed to explore trails closer to home. I decided to investigate a nature reserve that is three minutes from my house. The catch is that I have to pay $5 to get in! I can buy a annual walking pass for $45. While that's not as nice as free would be, it will easily pay for itself in gas savings!

Impressive!
Emma joined Ali's art class this January, and this was her first project! (Oil on canvas.) Honestly, I was shocked. She did such a great job, and she isn't exactly my "artsy" kid. Definitely framing this one for my wall!

Fun in Indy!
We spent our weekend with Aaron's cousin, Fran, and her family in Indy. It was such a treat to be able to relax and hang out for the weekend! Also, we finally got our hands on Baby June! ; )
Meg & June.
Our joke with Julie this weekend was that she was the "Baby Whisperer." She managed to put June to sleep, and held her for a good 45 minutes. She was very proud of herself (and let everyone know it!)
Ali's turn!
I love seeing my girls captivated by a new baby!
Emma was the one who had been itchin' for baby time the most. June wasn't very cooperative at first, but Emma did eventually get her time.
"The kid table"
Notice that Ali & Emma aren't there. It's such a strange (but good) thing to have them with the adults now! Needless to say, the Littles had a blast together (and JoJo had a feast after every meal!)
What a crew! Look at all of those lovely ladies!
